Nick Migliore, BA, MBA, CFE

Migliore is a business owner, consultant, and volunteer who has lived and worked in the city of Toronto his entire life. As a subject matter expert in risk assessment, security and facility management, Nicola has used his skills and knowledge to assist several boards. He is currently the Chairman of Runnymede Healthcare Centre, Director of Toronto  Crime Stoppers and past Director of the Toronto Victim Services Board, among others, where he received the Leadership Excellence Award.

Mr. Migliore specializes in threat risk assessments and mitigation solutions, security investigations and audits, event planning, facility management and staffing. Nicola was the former Executive Director of Operations for the CN Tower, one of the worlds most recognizable tourist destinations. As Director of Security for TrizecHahn, he was responsible for facility security for over 60,000,000 square feet of office retail and development space including the iconic Sears Tower in Chicago and the Kodak (currently Dolby) Theatre in California.

As a subject matter expert, Nicola has consulted and provided services, globally, for numerous organizations and facilities. These include school boards, universities, financial institutions, hotels, critical infrastructure, tourist destinations, the G20, the Pan American Games, the Summer Olympic Games in Vancouver, the Canadian National Exhibition, and several stadiums and sporting facilities.

Mr. Migliore has presented at the World Disaster Conference, the International, Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions,  the International Facility Management Association, and the Ontario Bar Association. He was a past instructor at the University of Toronto’s facility management program and in the security program at Sheridan College. Nicola is a graduate of Queens University Executive MBA program.  He studied criminology and facility management at the University of Toronto,  holds a BA from York University and is a Board-Certified Fraud Examiner.  Nicola is also the recipient of several awards, including the Chief Shanahan Award for Excellence in Public and Private Partnership Cooperation, the NATO Office of Security Appreciation Award for exceptional service, and the Province of Ontario Volunteer Service Award, to name a few.

Michael Soltys, PhD

Respected author, highly sought-after educational speaker, and currently a Professor and Chair of Computer Science California State University Channel Islands. In addition to journal and conference publications, Michael has written two computer science books, one on algorithms from an engineering perspective which is currently in its third edition: An Introduction to the Analysis of Algorithms. Michaels specialties include the fields of Cyber Security, Digital Forensics and Information Security. Author of over 70 papers and several books, and a public speaker. Principal Scientist at GBL Systems, and a Fellow with the Office of Naval Research under the Department of Defense.  A certified practitioner in AWS, in particular in Security and AI. He specializes in Algorithms, Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing. Extensive experience in digital forensics, in particular with the SoCal High Technology Task Force.

Leo Manos

A career security professional, having managed security operations for numerous high profile venues and facilities over the course of his career. His security management expertise stratifies numerous areas including government, Class A commercial properties, and 5 star hotel properties, and major special events. His portfolios have included oversight of large security teams, implementing new security programs, and ensuring compliance with rigorous security standards. Leo is the holder of several certificates of training related to the fields of security, law enforcement, and life safety. In 2006, Leo was first runner up to the Security Director of the Year award for his substantial work in upgrading his facilities physical security and response strategies
